Sonali Seygall has volunteered with a number of animal welfare and rescue organizations over the years. On World Elephant Day, the actor asks for stricter animal cruelty regulations so that perpetrators do not get away with their crimes. “I've personally identified the perpetrators and reported them to the authorities. But they've all gotten away with just a $50 fine. It's a heartbreaking situation! Even if someone tries to make a difference, they are ignored because human brutality is valued more highly. However, I believe that animal and human brutality are on par,” says the actor.
